PCB to appeal ICC against Ajmal’s ban: Shehryar

Talking to media here, the PCB chief said the ban on great Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal was a big shock for Pakistan.

The spinner’s action was reported during the test match in Galle against Sri Lanka in August.

Ajmal had to undergo a bowling action test in Australia which he failed. He will not be allowed to bowl in international cricket till his action is termed lawful and rectified as per the rules of the governing body of the sport.

Ajmal will miss the upcoming series against Australia in United Arab Emirates and might also miss the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in Australia and New Zealand.

The PCB has 14 days to file appeal against the ban.
