Earlier, the government had ordered death sentences to convicts only in terrorism cases. However under the new orders, all criminals awaiting death sentences in all criminal cases will face the punishment.
The Interior Ministry has issued notification in this regard following approval from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
