LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday reiterated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has launched a battle against the corruption which has weakened the roots of the country.
In his statement issued here from Lahore today, he said the government has adopted a zero tolerance policy against the menace of corruption.
Corrupt elements are enemies of the country and nation, who have backtracked Pakistan from the way of opulence.
“Accountability of such elements is necessary for the country’s development”, Buzdar said in his statement.
He pinned hope that the country will be able to rootout corruption under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In December, last year,Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar had said there is no place for the corrupt people in the country as this menace has dented country badly.
This he had stated in his message on International anti-Corruption Day.
Terming the corruption a ‘social crime’, the Punjab chief minister said, elimination of corruption is on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s top agenda.
Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar called for collective efforts to root out the menace of corruption from society for the betterment of country.
