FIA arrests youth for blackmailing girl in Lahore

LAHORE: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have arrested a youth accused of blackmailing a woman over cellphone, and sending her objectionable pictures and messages, ARY News reported.

The youth, identified as Usman, is a resident of Gulshan-e-Ravi. He was arrested after the federal agency conducted a raid at a restaurant located on Jail Raid.

The suspect is accused of blackmailing a woman named Zainab, and pretending he had objectionable videos and pictures of her.

The women lodged the complaint with the cyber-crime wing of the FIA, which acted swiftly to arrest the suspect, and also retrieved data and the objectionable pictures from his possession.

In April, police in Gujranwala arrest a college student who made fake accounts on social media in the names of girls and blackmailed them. The accused identified as Mudassir Ibrahim also spread pictures of female college friends on the internet.

Earlir a youth hailing from Quetta named Hamad Azam was arrested in a Lahore market. He was a mobile phone dealer who purchased a used cellphone from Umair and retrieved pictures from te gadget, and then blackmailed a female victim.
