Will not allow democracy to be derailed, says Zardari

Zardari, speaking to media after meeting Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, said that the two parties are on the same platform and both have opposed the 21st Amendment in the constitution.

It should be noted that National Assembly and Senate passed the 21st Amendment in the constitution which paved the way for the formation of military courts in the country.

“Politics is our service to the country and there is no final word in politics”, Zardari said.

He added that the parties were protesting in front of the Prime Minister House want to bring amendments in the constitution.

Earlier, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman gave a lunch in Zardari’s honour. The two leaders discussed the overall situation of the country. Sources have said that the PPP leader has invited his JUI-F counterpart to form a coalition for the upcoming Senate elections.

Zardari also dismissed rumors regarding rifts with his son Bilawal.
