Weapons recovered from garbage dump in Karachi

KARACHI: A large cache of weapons was recovered on Thursday from a garbage dump located in the Old Clifton area, ARY News reported.

Police reached the area after receiving information that some weapons were found there. However, they are still trying to decipher whom the weapons belonged to.

Inspector General Sindh AD Khawaja met Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and presented a report on the recovered weapons.

The weapons include 3695 rounds of ammunition, 61 magazines, 23 different types of rifles, along with four pistols and another 230 rounds ammunition and four magazines.

Police have registered a case against unknown individuals at the Boat Basin police station. The Chief Minister has instructed IG Sindh to investigate the matter.
