In a statement issued on 88th birthday anniversary of late PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Zardari said assuming power was the right of people only.
“We will not allow extremists to forcefully capture power in the name of religion.”
The former president said only parliament had the prerogative to amend the constitution and enact legislation. Judiciary also has a right to review such legislations under the ambit of Constitution.
He added that the judiciary was not entitled to do legislation.
