US senator praises Pakistan's fight against terror

Delegation of European Parliament led by Jean Lambert met Sartaj Aziz in Islamabad and discussed bilateral trade ties and mutual benefits.

Talking to a delegation, Aziz expressed satisfaction at the upwards trajectory in Pak-EU relations.

The delegation, while praising Pakistan’s effort in countering extremism and terrorism, reiterated the desire of the EU to continue its engagement with Pakistan for mutual benefits.

Earlier, US Senator Jack Reed held talks with the Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs in Islamabad. During the meeting, they discussed Pakistan-US bilateral relations and the security situation in the region.

The Adviser briefed the Senator about the improvement in Pakistan’s relations with Afghanistan.

Jack Reed appreciated Pakistan’s role in the fight against terrorism.
