KARACHI: Two most wanted muggers involved in several robberies and one murder were arrested on Tuesday in Karachi.
Police said both the suspects, Amjad Ali and Zahid Ali, had been looting citizens in the metropolis for the last decade.
Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Tariq Dharejo said the arrested suspects would mostly target those who withdrew money from an ATM or a bank.

He said they robbed more than a dozen women of their purses on University Road, Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
“The suspects along their abettors also murdered one man in interior Sindh last year,” the SSP SIU revealed adding that they were wanted in a number of criminal cases.
According to a police report, cases have been registered against Zahid and Amjad in many police stations including Aziz Bhatti, Sharae Faisal, Gulistan-e-Johar and Preedy.
“During interrogation, the suspects confessed to robbing dozens of people of their valuables and cash. They also confessed to shooting injured to those who resisted upon robbery,” said the report.
Police said raids were being conducted to arrest their other accomplices, namely Ali Raza Kandro, Kashan, Mobin and Saqib Leghari.
