LAHORE: A reporter belonging to a private news channel allegedly assaulted a traffic warden in Lahore.
CCTV footage of the incident surfaced on Saturday in which the journalist, who is said to be GEO News reporter Ahmed Faraz, can be seen accosting and manhandling the traffic warden at the latter’s office in Lahore.
According to reports, the suspension of a warden for receiving kickbacks was a point of contention between the reporter and the traffic official. The warden was caught with Rs4, 00, 000 at Arfa Karim Licensing Centre.
The reporter is said to have also mistreated Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Liaqat Malik.
