LAHORE: A traffic warden risked his life to arrest a truck driver who was escaping after a hit-and-run incident on the GT Road near Lahore, ARY News reported.
The truck driver Allahdita had reportedly hit a couple on a motorcycle and sped away from the scene of the incident.
However, a traffic warden named Jawad showed exceptional dedication and heroism and managed to cling to the door of the truck to prvent him from fleeing.
After nearly a kilometre of holding on, the truck driver was forced to stop the vehicle. He was arrested after being thrashed by onlookers.
A video of the incident went viral on social media with many calling for the traffic official to be rewarded for his bravery.
