KARACHI: At least three suspected terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with Rangers personnel in Ittehad Town area of the metropolis on Tuesday , ARY News reported.
During the action two Rangers personnel also sustained injuries.
According to a statement released by Sindh Rangers, the encounter took place when an intelligence-based operation was being conducted around suspected militant hideouts of a banned outfit in Ittehad Town.
In a bid to escape, the suspected terrorists resorted to an exchange of fire with Rangers officials during which three of them were killed and two officials of the paramilitary Rangers were wounded.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition, recovered from terrorists, was later handed over to the area police.
Meanwhile, police and Rangers also searched Clifton, a highly posh area of the city, and took at least 18 suspects into their custody while recovering three motorcycles from their possession.
