The death toll of children in the drought-hit region of Thar has risen to 269 since 105 days.
Mothers suffer from malnutrition due to lack of rainfall and vegetation in the region which leads to health problems in the infants and children.
The health problems then become the cause of death amongst the newborns and children.
The region continues to face food shortage whereas concerned authorities are also absent in responding to the issue.
