Terror bid foiled in Quetta

QUETTA: A terror bid was foiled in Quetta as bomb squad defused an explosive device near the home of a public prosecutor.

According to details, police reached Sabzal Road after being informed regarding a suspicious package placed near the home of a public prosecutor named Ameer Hamza.

Police surrounded the area and summoned the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).

BDS arrived at scene and recovered the explosive, which weighed 15 to 20 kilograms, and successfully managed to defuse the bomb.

The bomb was connected to a remote control.

DIG Quetta announced a reward of Rs. 5000/- for foiling the terrorist attack.
