A spokesman of maritime security agency on Tuesday said that they arrested 10 Indian fishermen who had violated territorial waters of Pakistan while fishing in the open sea.
He added that two boats were also seized.
The arrested fishermen were shifted to Docks Police Station, the spokesperson said.
Pakistan and India frequently carry out such arrests as the maritime border in the Arabian Sea is poorly defined and many fishing boats lack the technology needed to be certain of their precise location.
The fishermen often languish in jail even after serving their term, as poor diplomatic ties between the two arch-rivals mean fulfilling official requirements can take a long time.
