Tahirul Qadri asks PM Khan to keep his word

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri arrived in Lahore from Istanbul early Wednesday morning.

He landed at the Allama Iqbal International Airport where a large number of PAT workers greeted him by showering rose petals.

Speaking to media at the airport, the PAT chief said Prime Minister Imran Khan had struggled along with him for provision of justice to the victims of the Model Town incident for four years.

He asked the prime minister to honour the promise he had made with regard to the carnage and added now the people who will help the victims get justice are in power, not the ones who are killers.

Not a single person responsible for the carnage has been brought to justice, the PAT chief lamented. He was of the view that as many as 116 police officers are obstacle in dispensation of justice and demanded that all these policemen should be put under suspension.

He called on the PTI government to bring those behind the Model Town incident to book.

Dr Tahirul Qadri offered condolences on the death of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and prayed for her.
