KARACHI: Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) on Saturday arrested seven suspected militants affiliated with two separate proscribed outfits in a raid at Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of the metropolis, ARY News reported.
According to informed sources, the suspects are affiliated with banned militant organizations Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Balochistan (LB).
Suicide jackets and weapons have been recovered from possession of the suspects. The security agencies have shifted them to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
However, no further details were shared pertaining to identification of the suspects.

It merits to mention here that the law enforcement agencies have become active in the metropolis in the aftermath of recent attacks on security personnel and public representatives.
Earlier this week, police have recovered 12 laptops, tablet computers and more than 20 USBs in a raid at the house of the main accused in assassination bid of Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan.
The computers recovered from Karachi’s Gulzar-e-Hijri area are being decoded. Some micro USBs were hidden in sewed pieces of clothes, said sources. The data in the USBs apparently seemed to contain some very significant information, they added
