The hearing of the appeal was held in the chamber of Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk against a decision of the Supreme Court office to return the second review petition of Saulat Mirza who is to be hanged on March 19 at Machh Jail in Balochistan.
Sardar Latif Khosa appeared before the court on behalf of Saulat Mirza during the hearing.
Sindh High Court rejected Mirza’s sister Samira Wajahat’s challenging the anti-terrorism court’s (ATC) decision to hang her brother in Balochistan’s Machh jail and seeking his transfer to Karachi.
The petitioner had pleaded to the court that the ATC’s orders regarding her brother’s execution in Machh jail should be stopped.
The plea said that the family members of Saulat Mirza could not visit him in Machh Jail and sought his transfer to Karachi Central Jail.
