Stop conspiring against the country, PM tells critics

BHIKKI, Mandi Bahuddin: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says he was voted to power by the masses and insists he didn’t ever lie to the nation, ARY News reported.

Addressing the ceremony at Bhiki Power plant today, the PM said people had confidence in his government. ‘Now you must stop conspiring against the country,’ he said in an indirect reference to his detractors.

He said Bhikki power plant would help overcome energy crisis in the country. He reiterated that the government was committed to overcome power outages.

He underlined that billions of rupees were saved in power projects, adding that government efforts were yielding positive economic results.

He vowed that transparency was being ensured in mega power projects.

He said that no other government in the past bothered to work on motorways. However, the present government is now working on Lahore Karachi Motorway speedily.

Earlier, Prime Minister visited different parts of the power plant and inspected the progress on project.

In his address, the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Shrif said that work was being completed speedily at Bhikki, Haveli Bahadur Shah and Balloki power plant. He said that the Federal Government extended its full cooperation for timely completion of these power projects.
