Soldier martyred in North Waziristan terrorist attack: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Army soldier embraced martyrdom after terrorists targeted security forces check post in North Waziristan’s Spinwam area, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement on Monday.

According to ISPR, Pak army troops initiated a prompt response and effectively engaged the terrorist location, adding that during extense exchange of fire, a soldier embraced martyrdom.

The martyred soldier was identified as 25-year-old Saifullah who was a resident of Karak, the military’s media wing said.

A search operation was launched to eliminate any terrorists found in the area, the ISPR said.

On October 14, security forces killed a wanted terrorist in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

According to the army’s media wing, the IBO was conducted in a hideout on confirmed intelligence of the presence of terrorists in Mir Ali and during an exchange of fire wanted terrorist Arif Ullah alias Dadullah was killed.

“Wanted terrorist Arif Ullah alias Dadullah got killed during exchange of fire,” the ISPR added
