KARACHI: At least six alleged terrorists were killed on Thursday after a police encounter near the Toll Plaza at the Super Highway in the outskirts of the city, ARY News reported.
Police launched an operation at an adjoining road of the main Super Highway, but were fired upon by the terrorists. The resulting gunfight left around six terrorists dead.
SSP Malir Rao Anwar confirmed that killings and said that the terrorists belonged to banned outfits. He said that a further six accomplices are likely to be present in the area and a search operation is being conducted to apprehend them.
