KARACHI: The government of Sindh has decided to dissolve the Sindh Public Services Commission, sources at the Ministry of Law revealed.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has completed consultation with legal experts on the matter, and will submit a report in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Last month the Supreme Court has issued a stay order against recruitments made by the SPSC, and the appointment of the chairman and members of the commission.
The bench headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali had taken a suo moto
notice and halted all further appointments in the commission until a final verdict. The Chief Justice had remarked that an ineligible person has been appointed as the commission. The government counsel Farooque H. Naik had replied that the chairman is not ineligible and is a government employee for last twenty years.
A new Sindh Public Service Commission will be established which will restart the appointments including those of around six thousands doctors across the province.
