Sindh IG demands KP-like police system, says Imran Khan

KANDHKOT:  Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief on Wednesday said that Sindh is facing similar problems since last 21 years as the rulers of the province are only focusing on self-serving goals, ARY News reported.

Addressing his party’s rally in Kandhkot city of Sindh’s Kashmore district, the PTI chief claimed that the law and order situation in Sindh cannot improve as the police is politicised, adding that even Sindh’s police chief wants Khyber Pakhtunkhwa like system for police in the province.

“Your wealth and lives aren’t safe because police is not depoliticised,” said Imran Khan.

Continuing his criticism on PPP, Imran Khan said that he has not seen much development in Sindh in the last 21 years and the rulers have even failed to give proper drinking water to their voters.

“People’s Party has ruled the province for six times and done nothing,  what do you will they be able to do if they get a seventh term?,” Imran asked the crowd.

‘The 12th player’

Coming down hard on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan said that Nawaz was made a 12th player on his recent visit to Saudi Arabia as he was neither allowed to deliver a speech nor the visiting US president remembered Pakistan’s sacrifices in war against terror.

“It was an embarrassment for the whole nation that that neither our PM was allowed to speak nor Trump named Pakistan for its sacrifices,” said Imran Khan.

The PTI chief added that It was shameful that 70,000 Pakistanis sacrificed their lives in war against terror and the US President Donald Trump did not even acknowledge Pakistan’s role in the fight.

“Who would respect a prime minister who is under criminal investigation by a JIT, this is why I am demanding his resignation,” explained Imran Khan.
