Sindh govt to establish music academy in memory of Amjad Sabri

Bilawal hugged the sons of Sabri and expressed sorrow over the loss of their beloved father. He expressed grief and offered his heartfelt condolences with other members of his family.  Along with Sabri’s elderly mother, they prayed for the soul of Sabri and paid tributes to his dedication and services.

“I am not here for any political talks,” he said while speaking to the media outside his house. He was accompanied by Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal who said that the Sindh government will established a musical institute in Liaquatabad in the name of Amjad Sabri.

He said that the case was in its

initial stages and was being investigated from different angles including political affiliation, business and sectarian point of view. He said that it was premature to give more details but all relevant law-enforcement agencies were collaborating together to bring the culprits to task.  He refused to give further details as it might benefit the terrorists responsible for the murder.

This was the first visit of any PPP chairman to Liaquatabad commonly known as Lalo Khait, since former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto visited the area in 1974 more than forty-two years ago to inaugurate a market. The area has several political, social and cultural significance as well.
