Sindh CM’s mantra of ‘punctuality’ yet to get attention of officials

The chief minister, who is pressing for punctuality and presence of his government officials in their offices, telephoned to know about presence of the secretaries, commissioners, deputy commissioners and DIGs in their offices.

Murad Ali Shah after assuming the charge of the chief executive of Sindh had asked his principal secretary to slash his motorcade protocol by half. The chief minister had also directed the top government officials to fix a time to receive public complaints and address them accordingly.

The chief minister’s orders, however, not received

attention of the top bureaucrats in Hyderabad. The divisional commissioner of Hyderabad was found absent at his office in Shahbaz Building at 9:00 am today. Other high officials were also found missing in their offices not heeding the punctuality orders of the Chief Minister of Sindh.

The chief minister has also asked his cabinet members to keep him informed about their activities by posting details in a WhatsApp group he created for review of their performance and better coordination.

The group included his ministers, advisers and special assistants.
