RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed says his vehicle has been confiscated by the government authorities alongside detention of his security staff
In his tweet, Rasheed said his vehicle was currently in the police custody. “My vehicle was being taken away in way as if it had any bomb planted inside it.”
He said his driver and security staff were taken into custody by the law enforcers.
The AML chief said his party would hold a rally at Lal Haveli, his residence in Rawalpindi, after Friday prayers.
PTI chief Imran Khan is also due to arrive at Rasheed’s residence to address a rally, however the law enforcement agencies have placed cordons around Khan’s Bani Gala house to prevent his movement.
Sources said the PTI chairman and Sheikh Rasheed could be placed under house-arrest today.
