LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Mian Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that, unlike rival parties, his party’s government worked day in and day out to resolve energy crisis, ARY News reported.
Addressing party workers in Lahore, Shehbaz Sharif said that former premier Nawaz Sharif and he himself did everything possible to steer the country out of energy crisis after they came into power in 2013.
“During PPP’s tenure (2008-2013) people of the country only saw loadshedding and I myself protested with my workers but our protests remained peaceful unlike PTI,” said Shehbaz.
He claimed that the PPP government set examples of bad governance while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, under Nawaz Sharif, steered the country forward in every field.
The PML-N president also urged party workers to welcome in large numbers, the party’s supreme leader Mian Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz, when they land in the country on Friday, July 13.
