Sharifs seek foreign help after visits to Saudi Arabia: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Echoing grievances voiced in Dr Tahirul Qadri’s multi-parties conference, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said the embattled Sharifs are making visits to foreign countries in a bid to seek support allegedly to save the wealth they plundered from the nation.

Taking to twitter moments after Dr Tahirul Qadri wrapped up his presser, Imran Khan posed a question as for how long would the country have to suffer the constant humiliation wrought on it by Sharif brothers.

Referring to their recent visits to Saudi Arabia amid speculations of an NRO deal, Khan said the greed of Sharifs has been harming the national security of Pakistan.

“For how long will Pakistan have to suffer the constant humiliation

wrought on it by the greedy Sharif brothers dashing abroad seeking help from foreign leaders to save the wealth they plundered from the nation? The Sharifs greed is becoming a national security threat for Pak,” he tweeted.

Earlier, Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah had bemoaned the ruling party leaders’ visit to Saudi Arabia.

He said the nation was interested to know for what reasons these visits were being made.

The opposition parties are deeming the visits as a step towards winning an National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) like deal for the cases being faced by the Sharifs in courts amid growing demand of resignations from Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif  and his Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.
