It was great to see Sidhu in Pakistan: Afridi

KARACHI: Legendary Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi on Tuesday lauded former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu’s warm gesture to attend Prime Minister Imran Khan’s oath-taking ceremony in Pakistan.

“It was great to see Navjot Singh Sidhu in Pakistan for PM Imran Khan oath ceremony. I really hope that his warm gesture is accepted wholeheartedly,” he wrote in a tweet.

He preached for spreading tolerance to reduce tension between both the nuclear powers.

“Peace is the only way forward for both countries. Both nations need to spread message of tolerance. Such steps will reduce tension,” he said.

Navjot Sidhu seems to be in great trouble as the Indian media and extremists have gone mad over his visit to the country.

A Hindu militant organisation in India, Bajrang Dal, has set Rs0.5 million bounty on beheading the Punjab cabinet minister.

A sedition case was also registered against the sitting minister for hugging Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the oath ceremony of the new Pakistan PM.
