BAHAWALPUR: At least seven people were crushed on Monday when a Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) tanker overturned on a van carrying a wedding procession near Uch Sharif, ARY News reported.
Four women and a child were among seven people who were trampled in the horrific accident at the Hizfa bridge near Uch Sharif. The procession was heading from Alipur to Jangpur when the incident occurred as the tanker collided and trampled the passenger van. The injured were immediately shifted to Alipur hospital for treatment.
The scene of the incident was closed during the rescue operation, and the bodies were pulled from the van. The LPG managed to leak from the tanker, and a huge contingent of police and rescue officers were deployed to prevent any untoward incident.
