Sedition charges proving to be ‘Minus MQM-P’ formula, says Sattar

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Chairman Dr. Farooq Sattar filed a pre-arrest bail plea in 31 cases against him in Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday, ARY News reported.

Besides Sattar, another MQM-P leader Aamir Khan also filed a similar plea in the court for granting him a pre-arrest bail in four cases.

Sattar has been facing as many as 31 cases alleging him being involved in making inciting speeches and acting as facilitator allegedly in several subversion activities.

The party chairman arrived at the court premises along with Aamir Khan, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Advocate Mehfooz Yar Khan.

Talking to media persons outside the court premises, Sattar urged the government to review the cases against him and the other party leaders.

He was opined that if the sedition charges against him and party do not set aside, the party would consider it ‘minus MQM-P formula’ rather than ‘minus London’.

Dr. Farooq Sattar along with other key party leaders are facing cases for making inciting speeches, facilitating criminals, attack on a media house, and inciting anti-state sentiments.
