Supreme Court’s Registrar Office has sent a rejoinder to the Establishment Division, Ministry of Inter-Faith Harmony and the federal and provincial governments about the apex court’s June 19 verdict about protection of the rights of the minorities in Pakistan.
The government has been told in the memo that the apex court in its verdict over Peshawar Church Attack case had ordered the government to legislate and take substantial steps to protect the rights of minorities and to ensure protection of their lives and properties. But another incident against minorities happened in Kot Radha Kishan.
The court has ordered the Attorney General to inform the apex court about compliance of the June 19 verdict of the court and submit details of the government steps taken for implementation of the court’s decision.
