RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Jawed Bajwa said on Saturday that Kashmiris have right to self-determination and their sacrifices, including those of Burhan Wani’s, against brutalities committed by India reflect their resolve.
In a tweet, Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor quoted the army chief as saying, “Kashmiris have right to self determination. Sacrifices of Burhan Wani and generations against Indian atrocities are testimony of their resolve.”

Kashmiris continue to struggle for their right to self determination and bear the brutalities inflicted on them by Indian government forces.
Iconic Kashmiri freedom fighter Burhan Wani, who was martyred last year on this day, became a symbol of struggle for freedom fighters for valiantly standing the atrocities committed by Indian troops and eventually embracing martyrdom.
As the Occupied Kashmir is observing his first death anniversary, Indian forces have stepped up policing and shut down internet services to trample protests against the death of Wani.
