He was speaking as a keynote speaker at the launch of former foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri’s book titled ‘Neither a Hawk Nor a Dove’.
He underlined that the two countries have so many commonalities and remarked that problems between India and Pakistan are among the easiest to resolve.
Mr. Aiyar said both the countries should bring their reservations to the table and discuss them.
He recalled that whenever the two countries resorted to talks, casualties at the border witnessed considerable decease.
Later during his conversation with reporters, the former Indian CG said he didn’t believe that India and Pakistan could go to war over water issue.
