KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Zaeem Qadri has said if Reham Khan’s book contained any slanderous material then his party at any level would condemn it.
“As much as I know PML-N Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, he would condemn it. This book should not have been written and should not be discussed,” he said talking to ARY News program 11th Hour.
Pakistan’s legendary cricketer Wasim Akram, PTI leader Anila Khawaja and prominent psychiatrist and Reham’s former husband Dr Ijaz Rehman have served defamation notices to Reham Khan over “defamatory” and “malicious” content in her upcoming book.
The PML-N leader said our social and religious values do not allow a woman to be discussed publicly in such a blatant manner.
“I do not think that my party would at any point cease to condemn this book and neither any of our party members would be permitted to even comment on this,” he said.
To a query, Qadri appreciated the Pakistan Peoples Party leadership and daughters of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto for not letting a political leader, whose conducts have not been good, join their party.
