Sindh Rangers renovate Hindu temple in Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) has carried out a renovation work at a Hindu temple located in New Karachi area of the city, according to spokesperson of the paramilitary force.

The renovation work was performed at Kali Mata Mandir in Khamiso Goth of the New Karachi area by the Sindh Rangers, the spokesperson added.

“The walls inside and outside the temple underwent renovation and later they were painted.”

The Hindu community thanked the Rangers for renovating their worship place. The community members also expressed complete satisfaction on security measures taken by the paramilitary force for different festivals of the Hindu community.

It may be noted here that Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC), in connection with Holi festival and Pakistan Day, will hold a colorful mega event on Wednesday, 20th March 2019 at the Shri Panchumukhi Hanuman Temple, Soldier Bazar, Karachi, read a press release of PHC.

The community observes every new year with special prayers for their beloved country – Pakistan.

In an interview, Hindu community members recently said they never felt insecure or were harassed for the religion in the Muslim-majority country.

One of the worshippers even went on to suggest that the mainstream propaganda of minorities not being safe in Pakistan was peddled at India’s behest.

“We have high hopes from the PTI government that they will do good for our community; every one of us has voted for the PTI”, said a worshipper.

Another worshipper wondered if they would enjoy the same [religious] freedom in some other country as they did in Pakistan.
