Qureshi suggests opposition to part ways with TORs’ committee

Rounds after rounds of talks seem to yield no results as the government and opposition members are adamant not to inch back from their draft of the TORs. This led to the end of seventh meeting today without any outcome.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Aitzaz Ahsan says the deadlock over TORs still prevails.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker, Shah Mehmood Qureshi lamented that government’s attitude towards the matter is non-serious.

“It is useless to sit in the committee,” he said while suggesting the joint opposition to separate itself from TORs’ committee. He said the government wants to save the prime minister and his family.

Sources say the eight meeting of the TORs’ committee on Tuesday might also be its last session.
