Qureshi hails expats’ contribution in Pakistan’s development

MUSCAT: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Friday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government will put the country on the path of development by prudent economic measures.

Addressing overseas Pakistanis in Oman, he said the government is working on the agenda of change as promised with the nation.

The foreign minister said that Pakistani expats are playing a vital role in the development of the country by sending remittances through banking channels. He expressed the confidence that the government will make Pakistan a prosperous, developed and stable country in five years.

Dilating upon the policy of Prime Minister

Imran Khan to develop friendly relations with all neighboring countries, he said Pakistan is playing a commendable rule in establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan supporting dialogue between Taliban and the USA. “We always want good relations with India.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Prime Minister Imran Khan a day earlier reiterated his resolve to make Pakistan self-reliant with effective policies of the incumbent federal government.

He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of “Pakistan Banao Certificate” in Islamabad. The PM exhorted the overseas Pakistanis to come forward and enthusiastically purchase the certificates to make this scheme a success.
