Quetta’s train link with country restored

QUETTA: Train service from Quetta to other parts of the country has been restored after the completion of reconstruction work of Hirok bridge, ARY News reported.

Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Kakar inaugurated the restoration of train service this morning.

Addressing the inaugurating ceremony, the Governor said special Eid train service will be started from Quetta on the eve of Eidul Fitr.

It is pertinent to mention here that the train service between Quetta and other parts of the country was suspended last year due to the collapse of a bridge at Hirok station by heavy monsoon rains and floods.

The collapsed bridge is located between Machh and Kolpur at Hirak in the mountainous Bolan valley.
