Qatari Prince ended PM’s political career, claims Sheikh Rasheed

LONDON: President of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad has claimed that the Qatari Prince has ended the political career of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, ARY News reported.

He was speaking to media in London.

Qatari prince and former prime minister of the country, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al-Thani has lately been in the news following the submission of his letter in the Supreme Court in connection with the Panamagate case.

In his letter he has described his father’s business relations with the family of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his involvement in the London apartments that are at the centre of the Panama Papers controversy in Pakistan.

Sheikh Rasheed claimed that Nawaz Sharif and his family have been involved in the Panamagate Case.  He said that entire nation wants to see the case being decided in the court.

“We will accept any decision of the Supreme Court in the case,” Ahmad said.

The AML chief said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chiefs Imran Khan and Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri will join hands once again when the need arises.

He said that he was happy to see that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif is completing his tenure and called him a great military general.

He said, “Who comes and goes, it doesn’t make any difference to the state institutions in Pakistan.”
