Qadri decides to launch anti-government movement in August

The decision was taken during a federal council of the party under the leadership of Qadri, where he was given the authority to make a decision on the anti-government movement.

Qadri said that the final decision will be made after mutual consultation and discussion with other opposition parties and will be announced on 31st July.

The firebrand cleric suggested that the Prime Minister should spend more time in Raiwind rather than in Islamabad.  He has vowed to seek revenge over the killings of his activists in Model Town.

At least 17 people were killed and more than 100 were injured when police attempted to remove a barrier outside his residence on 17th June, 2014.

Qadri said that terrorism cannot be eliminated from the country under the government of government. He said that they will try to convince the opposition to join them  on a minimum number of points.
