LAHORE: Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed has said that 15-day suspension of Geo TV license by Pemra was eyewash, made in connivance with the government, ARY News reported Friday.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Rasheed said he stood by the organizations who had filed complaint against Geo TV.
He said poverty and crimes were rampant in Punjab, but the people were being befooled in the name of MoUs.

leader said around 900 cases of assault on women were reported in Punjab. Those claiming to stamp out load-shedding from the province in two months have failed to provide relief to the common man, he added.He suggested that the amount of Rs 40 billion spent on metro bus service, should have been served on education and health. He claimed that 70% of the people of Punjab had no access to clean drinking water.
