PTI suspends talks with government

Earlier, a team of government negotiators was reached to the residence of PTI leader Jahangir Tareen for the second round of talks to break the stalemate between the two sides over the demands of Imran Khan led opposition party.

PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the government has started preparations for crackdown on the protesters.

He said the Islamabad police chief Aftab Cheema has been relieved from his duty for refusing crackdown on the protesters.

He said the police has failed to register FIR of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers attack on his residence in Multan.

Qureshi said that the PTI workers being arrested along with the government’s offers of talks.

Thousands of the followers of PTI and PAT have staged sit-ins outside the parliament house demanding resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
