PTI govt performing better than previous regimes: Usman Dar

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar on Sunday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was performing much better than previous regimes of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

“Leaderships of both the political parties remained involved in massive corruption,” he said while talking to a local channel, Radio Pakistan reported.

To a query, Usman Dar said the PTI government was making efforts to strengthen country’s economy and difficult decisions were being taken for this purpose.

On April 13, the chief organiser of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Saifullah Niazi, had met Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed party matters.

During the meeting, PM Khan had ordered the chief organiser to mark PTI’s foundation day in a full-fledged manner.

PM Khan had said the PTI was now at a very important stage of its evolution. He said party workers and activists must now prepare to celebrate the foundation day under the leadership of Saifullah Khan Niazi.

He had said the PTI achieved success after 22 years of unflinching struggle.

In March, PM Khan had appointed his close aide Saifullah Niazi as chief organiser of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Niazi was tasked to strengthen Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf roots in all the provinces.
