GHOTKI: After back-to-back public meetings in Punjab this week, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) will flex today its political muscles in Obauro town in Ghotki district of Sindh province, the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) home turf.

This would be the fourth consecutive public rally of PTI in less than a week in the build-up to next general elections as the party has stepped up its campaign in a bid to mould public opinion in its favor in the aftermath of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification in July this year.

PTI chief Imran Khan and other senior party leaders will address the gathering at Obauro where almost all arrangements have been completed. The venue has been decorated with party flags and banners featuring the photos of Khan and other party leaders.

The PTI earlier this week demonstrated political strength in Bahawalpur, Kot Adu, and Khanewal, on Nov 02, 03 and 04, respectively.

Addressing a rally at Khanewal, PTI chief Imran Khan took aim at his political opponents. He said he had never seen a weak prime minister than Shahid Khaqan Abbasi because he was taking instructions from ousted premier Nawaz Sharif.

He claimed that Abbasi was planning to doll out Rs940 millions to parliamentarians to win the next elections, but people will not sell their votes in the development projects.

Turning his gun to Sharif, the PTI chairman said that Sharif had already been ousted from politics.
