PTI chief decides to file petition against chairman Nadra

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Sunday decided to file a petition against the chairman National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) for allegedly leaking crucial information to the former ruling political party, ARY News reported.

Sources said Imran has directed PTI leader and senior lawyer Babar Awan to prepare a petition in this regard with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The petition will demand removal of Chairman Nadra Usman Mobin.

This should be noted that the PTI has already written to Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza for removal of Mobin from his post.

It is also pertinent here to mention that, according to unconfirmed reports, in an attempt for pre-poll rigging the Nadra provided valuable data to the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N).

“With Mobin as the Nadra chief fair and free elections are impossible,” the PTI chief has reportedly said about the chairman who was appointed by the PML-N government.

Mobin was reappointed on the top post for three years in February this year after his tenure ended.
