ISLAMABAD: Protest continued outside chairperson Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence on Tuesday by indignant workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over unjustified ticket allotments.
According to PTI workers, the issuance of party tickets to candidates is done without merit basis, the protesters proclaim that the candidates who live in the constituency should be nominated rather than outsiders. Majority of the protesters at Bani Gala are from constituencies of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
As per them, Ahmed Hussain was the only deserving candidate for NA-154.
Imran Khan being considerate on Monday, requested for three days’ time in order to “personally review” all their petitions in contradiction of “unfair” allocation of tickets.

The protestors have declared to call off their protest after three days when Imran will announce his decision regarding the immediate reversal of decisions of the parliamentary board that finalized the party candidates for the upcoming general elections.
Furthermore, PTI workers protested in Sanawan on Tuesday against seat adjustment with Awami Raj Party leader Jamshed Dasti.
The frantic workers carried out a demonstration at Mehmood Kot Chowk in Sanawan area of Muzaffargarh, which falls under NA-183, by putting the vehicles on fire in order to support the protest against party’s unproven decision.
A day before this protest, PTI workers protested in NA-182 constituency of Muzaffargarh, vandalizing PTI District Secretariat.
They surged into the office and broke furniture, windowpanes, also burning tyres on the road.
According to such situation, it is believed that PTI is divided into two groups over the matter of seat adjustment with Dasti; the clique supporting the Awami Raj Party leader carried out a rally in his favour.
PTI’s support for Dasti has been witnessed earlier, when he was jailed for forcibly opening a canal gate in Muzaffargarh on May 28. Dasti was put behind bars after the irrigation department lodged a case against him.
Subsequently, PTI’s legal team headed by lawyer Shahid Gondal recorded Dasti’s statement and announced to submit a bail petition on his behalf.
