RAWALPINDI: Citizens of Pakistan on Monday rejected the propaganda of Voice of America, a US-funded international multimedia agency, against Pakistan military spokesperson, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor, ARY News reported.
VoA held two surveys against press conference of DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor, in which he warned the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) to refrain from anti-state propaganda.
People have rejected both the surveys with big margin, one with 89 percent and the other with 72 percent. In both the surveys, people supported statement of the military spokesman. Only 11 and 28 percent people expressed difference of opinion.
Asif Ghafoor, while answering a question during press conference, said that he has been engaged with the leadership of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) after its foundations over special directives of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

He admitted that terrorism has resulted in a significant loss in tribal areas and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The Army Chief has directed not to adopt harsh behaviour with the people.
He said that the Pakistan Army was clearing mines from the tribal areas and more than 101 soldiers were martyred during the clearance phase.
Ghafoor clarified that the state has no difficulty to stop them but each step will be taken in accordance with the law and the Constitution.
He offered PTM and media persons to provide details of missing persons and serious efforts will be made to recover the people.
He said that the armed forces will continue taking necessary measures for the security of nationals.
