In their separate messages on Pakistan Day, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said the people have stood up to the challenge of terrorism and they are determined never to give in.
The PM said the peace-loving people of Pakistan are unwittingly exposed to threats posed by extremism and terrorism.
He said he is confident that we will overpower with the assistance of our valiant armed forces and unconditional support by the entire political leadership.
In his message, President said terrorists who have been attacking women, children, security personnel, schools and places of worship need to be defeated at all costs.
He urged people to renew their pledge to restore peace and defeat evil forces.
