PPP’s Pitafi apologizes to Abbasi over inappropriate remarks

KARACHI: Sindh Assembly Member and Pakistan People’s Party leader Imdad Ali Pitafi has issued an unconditional apology to Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F) parliamentarian Nusrat Sehar Abbasi over use of controversial language towards her, ARY News reported.

The 43-year old MPA Pitafi, in a written statement, said that he committed a mistake and all members of the parliament are respectable persons.

Sources said that Pitafi will also apologize to Abbasi on the floor of the house.

It should be noted that PPP member Imdad Pitafi made derogatory and inappropriate remarks and exchange words with Nusrat Sehar Abbasi of PML-F.

Chairman of ruling party in Sindh PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, had demanded Pitafi to apologize over his remarks against the PML-F parliamentarian.

Bilawal had directed President Sindh Nisar Khuhro to issue a show cause notice to the minister before taking any action.

Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari had also condemned the incident. While responding to the tweet from PPP member Nafisa Shah, she called on Pitafi to apologise for the unacceptable behaviour.
